Funds Group is responsible for maintenance of GPF accounts of AP State Govt. employees other than Class IV employees and constitutional authorities such as AP Public Service Commission members, Lok Ayukta and AP Administrative Tribunal.

All India Service Provident Fund Accounts of All India Service Officers borne on the cadre of AP are also maintained in Funds Group.

As per G.O.Ms.No.655, dated 22/9/2004 of Government of Andhra Pradesh Principal Accountant General (A&E) Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad will maintain the accounts for the Contributory Pension Scheme as in the case of General Provident Fund.

All amounts recovered from the subscribers towards Fund and all amounts withdrawn from the fund by the subscriber are accounted for by the funds group.

Interest is computed annually at the rates fixed by Govt. and credited to the account of each subscriber.

Annual account statements containing details of Opening balance, amounts contributed, amounts withdrawn, interest allowed and closing balance are dispatched around last week of July every year.

The amount standing at the account is authorised to the subscriber on cessation of duty.
